When should you call 911?

When there is an emergency, lives are in danger, serious injury, serious medical condition, crime in progress, or any other situation needing immediate attention. Back to top

How do I get a copy of a Police Report?

How do I report someone as a missing person?

To report a missing person in the City of Camden, call the Camden Police Department at (856)757-7420. Back to top

How do I determine the status of a missing person case?

If you reported the missing person with the Camden Police Department, call the investigator assigned to the case at (856) 757-7554. Back to top

How long do I have to wait before I report someone missing?

There is no time limit when someone is missing. It is helpful if you can provide a recent picture of the missing person and a description of what the individual was wearing when last seen. Back to top

What should you do if you see a crime occurring?

  • Call 911 immediately.
  • Be observant and make mental notes.
  • Are there any weapons involved?
  • What is the address?
  • Any physical characteristics such as height, weight, race, beard, or scars.
  • Any clothing description.
  • How many people involved?

How do I make a complaint?

By calling to (856) 757-7590, or in person at the Camden Police Department office of Internal Affairs Bureau located at 800 Federal Street, One Police Plaza Camden, NJ 08103. The IA Command Center office is open for complaints Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In case of an emergency you can also call Communication and Command Center at (856) 757-7486.
