Deferred loan (requiring the recording of a mortgage lien against the subject property) that enables residents to obtain funds for repairs including abatement of lead paint necessary to meet the local code standards

*Application Process - The Division of Housing Services will advertise the availability of programs with information on scheduled intake dates and contact numbers to arrange an appointment to apply for the specific program offered.

Eligibility Requirements
All applications will be processed on a first come serve basis and meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be owner-occupant of subject property for a minimum of 1 year prior to application date (non applicable to First Time Homebuyer's Program)

  2. All municipal obligations (taxes, water & sewer) must be current.

  3. Annual income (adjusted for family size) must be within Section 8 Income Guidelines.

  4. Necessary repairs and cost must be within program cap.


Documentation
The following documentation must be submitted when completing the formal application:
  1. Property Deed

  2. Proof of family income

  3. Fire Insurance Policy

  4. Last paid tax, water and sewer receipt.

  5. Agreement of Sale (First Time Homebuyer's Program applicants only)

  6. Three receipts from Mortgage payments.
