The Empowerment Zone - a federally funded program - strengthens Camden
communities through developments and improvements in education, healthcare,
housing, human services, employment and community safety. Its community
outreach programs promote unity among neighbors and foster learning,
motivation, and other forms of individual achievement.
The Empowerment Zone Grant allows Camden to address issues at all level of the
community - from creating and maintaining safe, clean neighborhoods to
