Welcome to the Camden Strong Facade Program! This program aims to enhance the visual appeal and overall quality of businesses within the Camden area. As a business owner, participating in this program can provide you with resources and assistance to improve the exterior appearance of your establishment. Remember to carefully read and follow all instructions provided in the application and any accompanying guidelines or materials. Good luck with your application, and we hope the Camden Strong Facade Program helps enhance the visual appeal of your business! Here are the application instructions to help you get started:
Step 1: Make sure you’re a UEZ Member – This program requires businesses to be UEZ members to be considered for the program. If you are not already a member, please review “How to Sign Up for UEZ” and follow the step-by-step instructions to become one. The forms are available in both English and Spanish for review.
Step 2: Familairze The Eligibility & Requirements: Review the following documents to have an understanding on what is needed from you to ensure your application is completed properly to be considered:
- Required Documents Check List – provides a breakdown for each section of the application detailing acceptable proofs applicants must have with their application. If required proofs are not provided with the application, then the applicant may not be considered for the program.
- Rubric System – provide a breakdown of how the scoring will be done for each application. As you will see when reviewing the rubric, points are heavily based on the required proofs listed in the “required document checklist” and can determine if an application will be accepted.
- Mortgage Form – This form is not required for the applicant to complete the application process. It will be a form however that will be needed once an application has been accepted. Applicants should review and familiarize themselves with it as it will be a requirement later on.
Step 3: Complete Application Forms A-C with Proofs: Fill out the application forms accurately and provide all the required information. Refer to the supporting documents for Parts A “Ward Map” and Part C “Design Standards” for assistance in completing the forms. Make sure to download the forms with the saved changes to your computer/smartphone. Also include supporting documents mentioned for each section listed in the “Required Documents Checklist”.
